In between my 12-hour gaming sessions, a really super quick portrait of my Oblivion/Skyrim character Vadril Savel!!!! A pyromaniac Dunmer battlemage and Dragonborn.

I’ve been slowly coming up with a headcanon for him too: He’s from Morrowind because Vvardenfell still feels like home to me. His family was part of the great house Hlaalu on Vvardenfell, but before the eruption of Red Mountain he left for the mainland and then Cyrodiil because Morrowind was falling apart. He dabbled with necromancy, witnessed the Oblivion crisis, but never returned to Morrowind because of the Argonian invasion - his former family ties to Hlaalu were gone. Meanwhile, due to the dissolution of the Mages Guild, he got more into necromancy which the Mages guild had heavily opposed. Later he had been on his way to the College of Winterhold where he could practice his magic more freely, he got involved in Stormcloak business and then Skyrim happened.

I'm also trying to draw dragons but I've never drawn a dragon in my life so I'm getting frustrated GRRRRR

A pro Stormcloak Dunmer? Or did he 'get involved' the same way mine did, and just happen to be crossing whenever Ulfric and his gang were, then paradoxicly get invited to join them despite being, you know, one of those races they love screwing with

Dunmer ftw, I love this character Background and I love his look too, I've actually been thinking about making background for my own Dunmer character to be completely honest, but yea, amazing picture.

don't mean to be rude, but wouldn't the back story you came up with make your dark elf character like a hundred years old or more? I've been playing skyrim and love it, but I'm still unsure as to how long the elf races are supposed to live.

LMAO he's about 400 years old. Mer races have long lives, usually hundreds of years, but in addition to that he delved quite deeply into necromancy in his younger years after he left Morrowind. There are 200 years between the events of Oblivion and Skyrim.
