I love the way you portray races of Tamriel, however I wish that Orsimer was more mongoloidal - like in the earlier concepts made for Morrowind. Elven races were in big part inspired by Asian cultures, and that would be much more interesting than the look we had in Oblivion and Skyrim, which is pretty generic to most fantasy.
Only the Ashlanders fit that description, and even then only somewhat. The Bosmer, and Altmer never had even a hint of Asian culture. As for the Orsimer, they only had that armor style because of the Akaviri invaders of the 1st era.
Yeah, he hasn't worked for them for years (thankfully) hence it was always subject to change. Superficially, they might have a resemblance to Asian cultures. Thankfully, they got rid of most of that after Morrowind.
Thankfully? How is getting back to generic, boring fantasy same as all others a good thing? Michael Kirkbride made the best designs TES ever had, and since Morrowind there's no real edge or style to how things look in those games.
The poor bastard just wants to open up an apothecary, BUT NOOOOOOO AN ORC CAN'T KNOW ALCHEMY THEY ONLY KNOW HOW TO HIT THINGS. Fuckin' racist chalky-ass Nords denying my small business start-up loan. OH BUT HAVE YOU CONSIDERED STARTING A SMITHY?! ORCS DO WONDERS WITH A HAMMER AND STEEL - I'll do wonders hammering your face into an anvil, jackass. >:T
This could pass for Malacath. You've got intimidating, bold, and strong all down with this expression. Would you consider drawing a full body version. I'd love to see how you'd choose to sculpt the form..
I really wish there was more of the Daedric princes though x
What kind of opacity do you normally work with for paintings like this? I've always really admired people that can work with bold, hard brushes with broad strokes. It has such a gorgeous painterly quality to it.
