UPDATE 2: Added a profile view of the head and cleaned up the lines. I'll try the vehicle mode next, but we'll see how that turns out 8D


UPDATE 1: WIP on the rear view (ooh, kinky). Still sketching, but he's starting to come together.

This Sunstreaker will be a remake of my previous Movie Sunstreaker I did back in March 2008. With the final design I'll participate in a robot design contest hosted by TFW2005.com and the awesome Josh Nizzi :)

My intention is to make him a brawler, sort of a hand-to-hand expert. That's also why I'm removing the cannon I originally gave him. He needs to be able to pack a punch without being particularly huge - after all, his alt mode is about the same size as Bumblebee's. Also his smaller size will allow him to move fast when needed, but mainly he'll be the fighter in the front lines. He's still very touchy about his looks - perhaps with his aggressiveness concerning the matter he's compensating for his size ;)

this is SO amazing!!
I LOVE Sunny! He is one of my favourites, along with Starscream and Soundwave.
I was really angry when i found out he wasnt going to be in the new movie, but his brother was. :/
But its all good now cause Sideswipe didnt get a big part anyway, so hopefully they'll have them both in the next movie. hehe.

Its so cool how you can do this, you should work for the people who make the films. Im sure you could bring a fresh set of eyes to the designing of the characters thats for sure!
I really love his body structure here, and I love how you kept the original line plate things around his face. :3

I still envy how you manage to do this. How do you know where to put all the mecha stuff? Do you use reference images, or do you just go by instinct, or what? -wants to eventually draw something mecha-

No, I don't use reference... I dunno, I just think of real machinery and how all the parts might actually go. :lol: I mean, I don't really know much about "real machinery", but if the result looks good... :shrug:

aahh~hän näyttää nyt niin hyvältä~ kiitos muuten että piirsit Sunstreakista tämän movie-version kun luinkin yhtä elokuva ficiä jossa hän esiinty ja nooh~ helpompi kuvitella ko tietää miltä hän leffa-versiona näyttää .o/

Tämä Sunny on kova jätkä! Hienoisesti sosiopaattinen eikä mikään neiti. Ulkonäkö on kuitenkin edelleen arka paikka ja varmaan jotain turhamaisuutta on kun on Lamborghini alt modena, mutta movie universen robosodissa ei pärjää jos pelkää maalin naarmuttumista. :giggle:

No se on kyllä totta. Muuten tuli tässä samalla mieleen yksi kysymys joka pokkeaa kuvasta mutta tässä samalla onnistun sen kysymään joten teen sen.
Olen tässä miettinyt tatuoinnin ottamista ja ajattelin kysyä useammalta artistilta variaatioita (jos he siis suostuvat) tatuoinnista. Mutta se tatuointi. Se olisi siis puoliksi Autobot -logo ja puoliksi Desepticon -ligo (mustavalkonen) muuten saisi käyttää omaa mielikuvitusta.

Eli jos sinulla olisi yhtään extra-aikaa edes jonkin laista suunnitella niin olisin kiitollinen. Sillä tosin ei olisi kiirettä sillä olisin hankkimassa sitä syksyn puolella koska kesä ei todellakaan ole parasta aikaa hankkia sitä mutta kuitenkin.

Jos olisit kiinnostunut niin vastaa tai mieti ainakin asiaa. Tietenkin on olemassa se puoli että jos aika ei riitä niin ymmärrän : ) Halusin kuitenkin kysyä asiaa jos sitä sattuisi hiukan tällaiselle projektille löytymään.
